Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about the preparation of peace agreements and the difficulties along this path.

“We understand what is happening. We understand whom we are dealing with. The issue is not the difficulty of making decisions. I am capable of making them.
It is important that everything is fair and transparent. That there is no game behind Ukraine’s back. That nothing is decided without Ukraine — about us, about our future.
The most sensitive matters and the most complicated issues concern territories and frozen assets. I cannot speak on behalf of European leaders regarding frozen funds in Europe. I can only share my vision, and they may support me. And also about security guarantees.
We are counting on strong security guarantees from the United States and Europe, as well as from some other leaders.
This is one of the topics of the Coalition of the Willing. We are working on it. I believe these three issues are the most sensitive and the most important. Our teams will continue working on them”, — Volodymyr Zelensky noted.
According to him, Ukraine will be waiting for signals from the American delegation after its meetings in Russia.
“The U.S. delegation wants to report directly to us immediately after the meetings. The next steps depend on those signals.
We will receive one kind of signal or another. If the signals work in such a way, if it is fair play with our partners, then perhaps we will meet with the U.S. delegation very soon.
At what level — we will see, depending on the signals. If the signals provide an opportunity and a chance for global but swift decisions, then the level will be higher.
I am ready to receive all signals, ready for a meeting with President Trump. Everything depends on today’s conversations”, — the President assured.
Volodymyr Zelensky reminded that “the ‘russkiye’ started the war, and there are no alternatives to this wording.”
“The witness is the whole world. They came with aggression to destroy us. We stopped them. Europe helped, America helped. Russia failed to occupy Ukraine primarily because of the resilience of Ukrainian people — soldiers, civilians — and undoubtedly thanks to our partners.
The United States says that enough blood has been shed. And we fully support them. But we must end this war in such a way that a year from now Russia does not come again, with a third invasion.
They did not achieve their goal of occupying our state. But I am not sure their goals have changed. They may only be postponed — and we need protection against that.
What will happen tomorrow, when our soldiers go home and once again become teachers, engineers, people of various professions?
They will return, and Russia will continue to build up military strength, preparing for yet another invasion. That is why we want certainty. That is what Ukrainians need”, — the President emphasized.
