Volodymyr Zelensky outlined the results of peace negotiations in the United States

On Sunday, negotiations were held in the United States between the Ukrainian and U.S. delegations regarding ending the war and establishing a just peace.

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this on his Telegram channel.

After the work of the teams in America was completed, the head of the Ukrainian delegation, Rustem Umerov, reported on the main parameters of the dialogue, its key points and certain results.

Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that the negotiations were constructive, and all issues at the meetings were discussed openly and with a focus on ensuring Ukraine’s sovereignty and national interests.

“I am grateful to America, President Trump’s team, and the President personally for the time being invested so intensively in defining steps to end the war. We will continue our work. I am expecting a full report from our team during a personal meeting”, — the head of state wrote.

The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council and the head of the Ukrainian delegation, Rustem Umerov, noted after the meeting that there was tangible progress toward establishing a just peace.

“We are grateful to the United States for its strong support and genuine interest in achieving our shared result. The meeting was meaningful and successful. There is still a lot of work ahead — we continue consultations and the coordination of further steps for the sake of peace for Ukraine”, — he added.
