The Ukrainian delegation will arrive in the United States of America today, and in the coming days the negotiation process will continue in search of a solution to end the war.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in his evening address.
“Tonight — U.S. time — the Ukrainian delegation should already be in the United States of America, and the dialogue based on the points from Geneva will continue. Diplomacy remains active”, — Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
According to him, the American side is demonstrating a constructive approach, and it is entirely realistic in the coming days to finalize the steps needed to determine how to end the war with dignity.
“The Ukrainian delegation has the necessary directives, and I expect the team to work in line with clear Ukrainian priorities”, — the Head of State noted.
He also reported that next week work with our partners will continue — including efforts aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s air defense capabilities.
Commenting on the overnight Russian air strike, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that 19 missiles were successfully shot down, including ballistic ones. Nearly 560 drones were also suppressed, about 300 of which were Shaheds.
“Unfortunately, not everything was shot down, and strengthening air defense is priority number one. This task is extremely difficult and extremely costly for both Ukraine and its partners. No country could handle this alone, but we are securing air-defense missiles for Ukraine and constantly increasing the fleet of our air-defense systems of various types”, — the President of Ukraine emphasized.
