During his meeting with Radmila Šekerinska, Denys Shmyhal informed her about the consequences of today’s Russian attack, the main target of which was Kyiv.
The Defence Minister wrote about this on the evening of 25 November.
“We discussed the key needs of our soldiers and ways to ensure sustained support for the Defence Forces.
NATO’s support is critically important for Ukraine. I expressed gratitude for the effective mechanisms that strengthen our defence capabilities and help repel Russian strikes, including the PURL initiative.
I also separately thanked NATO for its constructive role in the Ramstein format, in training Ukrainian servicemembers, and in developing a network of rehabilitation centres.
We reviewed the reforms implemented by the Ministry of Defence aimed at deepening interoperability and cooperation with the Alliance member states.
I am grateful for the effective support of Ukrainian soldiers and for the willingness to deepen our cooperation”, — noted Denys Shmyhal.
