The Defence Forces are holding back the enemy and conducting search-and-strike actions to eliminate Russian troops in Pokrovsk. Ukrainian positions remain in the city centre, small-arms battles continue, and the enemy is unable to gain a foothold.
This was reported on 23 November by the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Assault groups, in coordination with other units operating within the responsibility zone of the 7th Corps, continue to be involved in eliminating the enemy in the city centre.
In particular, in recent days, the 425th Separate Assault Regiment Skala carried out clearing operations to remove enemy presence in the area of the railway station, the Pokrovsk Pedagogical College, and Sobornyi Park.
This made it possible to block Russian attempts to amass forces as they unsuccessfully try to increase pressure on the northern part of the city.
Each time the enemy attempts to move into the northern part of the city via the railway, they suffer maximum losses.
Since the beginning of November, Ukrainian forces have eliminated 388 occupiers in Pokrovsk, and another 87 have been wounded”, — the 7th Corps of the Air Assault Forces stated in its report.
