Ukrainian F-16s have already shot down more than 1,300 aerial targets. During today’s massive missile attack, F-16 pilots together with Mirage-2000 crews destroyed at least ten Russian cruise missiles.
This was reported on the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s official page.
The agency emphasized that the appearance of F-16s in Ukrainian skies in August 2024 became a turning point for the air defense system.
“By implementing their own innovative approaches, Ukrainian crews consistently demonstrate high performance in repelling enemy attacks”, — the Air Force noted.
OVER 300 STRIKES ON GROUND TARGETS
In addition to anti-missile missions, the fighters are actively performing tasks to provide air support to the Defense Forces.
F-16 pilots have already struck more than 300 ground military targets, destroying equipment, command posts, ammunition depots, logistics hubs, and control facilities of Russian UAV units.
THE MAIN ISSUE — AMMUNITION
The Air Force stressed that the crews are working at the limit of their capabilities, but their effectiveness directly depends on a stable supply of missiles and bombs.
“The only thing on everyone’s mind now is uninterrupted and timely delivery of aviation munitions from Western partners. Without a sufficient number of bombs and missiles, the F-16 will not help defeat the enemy!” — the military summarized.

Four Ukrainian paratroopers stormed a Russian position: four occupiers were captured, while one was eliminated on the spot after resisting.
The occupiers are actively adopting the technical innovations and tactical approaches of Ukrainian UAV operators — it takes them only two to three months.
Russia’s losses at the front have exceeded the replenishment of the enemy army for three consecutive months.
Strikes against facilities related to Russia’s use of unmanned systems are one of the priority areas of combat operations for the Unmanned Systems Forces.
