President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone conversation with President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen. The parties discussed the publication of the EU’s annual enlargement report and financial support for Ukraine’s energy sector.
The Head of State reported this on his official page.
“The annual Enlargement Package 2025 report will be published tomorrow”, — the President noted.
According to him, Ukraine has demonstrated progress on its path toward EU membership, and “there is every reason to expect a positive outcome for us”.
The second part of the conversation focused on assistance to Ukraine’s energy sector amid Russian attacks.
“Ursula informed about coordination with various institutions and countries, as well as about the funds to be allocated to support our energy system. These could be very substantial contributions, and we will work on increasing them”, — Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.
The President added that the agreements reached are moving into the practical phase:
“Our teams will begin work this week on implementing all the agreements”.
The parties also agreed on a further schedule of contacts.
