Over the past three months, under the “Danish model,” the Ministry of Defence has concluded 20 contracts with the defence ministries of partner countries and manufacturers totaling more than €1.4 billion.

This was reported on November 1 by Ukraine’s Minister of Defence, Denys Shmyhal.

In total, under the model €427.8 million has been paid to Ukrainian producers. A new tranche of financing under the model in the amount of €825.9 million has been formalized.

“We are systematically working with partners to increase the quantity of weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and within other defence initiatives and projects”, — Denys Shmyhal wrote.

According to him, under PURL 17 NATO partner states have committed to participate in the initiative to purchase U.S. weapons. The total amount of contributions amounted to $2.8 billion.

The first four weapon packages, totaling more than $2 billion, included air defence/anti-missile systems and missiles for them, GMLRS munitions for HIMARS MLRS, and 155 mm extended-range artillery rounds.

“The Coalition of Capabilities. Partners have delivered more than one million munitions, dozens of air defence/anti-missile systems and more than a thousand interceptor missiles for those systems”, — the Minister of Defence of Ukraine said.
