The 138th Separate Battalion of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shared the story of their heroism on social media.
According to reports, throughout this time, our soldiers conducted surveillance and reconnaissance, strengthened engineering barriers, and reinforced their positions — all under continuous attacks from Russian strike drones and artillery shelling.
“Holding positions on the frontline in direct contact with the enemy for 165 uninterrupted days is a feat! It is a demonstration of superhuman courage, self-sacrifice, and dedication to the nation. We sincerely thank you for your invincible strength and bravery, which you displayed every day while defending our beloved Ukraine under extremely difficult and critically dangerous conditions. Thank you for your steel will and readiness to sacrifice your own comfort and safety so that we could enjoy freedom and independence”, — the statement reads.
Currently, Oleksandr Tishayev and Oleksandr Aliksyeyenko are undergoing rehabilitation. For their heroic actions, they were awarded distinctions from the President of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defense.
