The Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have received new Combat Boat 90 vessels from Sweden and Norway.
This was reported on Wednesday, October 29, by the Commander of the Ukrainian Navy, Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa, on his Facebook page.
“Such boats are already in service with our fleet, and now there are even more of them — a full division has been formed based on this type of equipment. CB90s are among the best in the world and are used in many countries, including NATO member states. They are fast, maneuverable, and reliable. Designed to perform a wide range of missions — from landing personnel and coastal defense to patrolling and protecting civilian shipping”, — the statement says.
It is also noted that Combat Boat 90s are equipped in accordance with the requirements of modern naval warfare, and their crews have undergone full training to effectively utilize all the vessel’s capabilities.
“I personally tested the Combat Boat 90 in action. I am convinced that these boats will become a powerful tool in the hands of our warriors. The delivery of this equipment is yet another result of joint work within the Coalition for Ukraine’s Naval Capabilities, created to strengthen the potential of the Naval Forces. I am grateful to our partners for their strong support, trust, and shared vision of the future”, — added Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa.
