On the night of October 23, 2025, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck a strategic facility used to support the Russian armed forces — the Ryazan Oil Refinery.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.
Explosions were recorded in the target area, followed by a large-scale fire on the refinery’s territory.
The Ryazan Oil Refinery is one of the largest in the central part of the Russian Federation and belongs to the company Rosneft.
The plant’s production capacity allows for processing over 17 million tons of oil per year.
The refinery plays an important role in supplying fuel to enemy military formations and in maintaining the logistical chains that support the occupiers’ armed forces.
Disabling part of the plant’s production capacity reduces the Russian army’s ability to conduct combat operations.
In addition, that same night, Ukrainian strike drone systems hit an enemy ammunition depot near the settlement of Valuyki, Belgorod region.
According to available information, the target was destroyed, and detonations and ammunition explosions were observed.
The implementation of measures aimed at ending the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine continues.
