The enemy attacks Kyiv with drones and missiles: fires in several districts, casualties and injuries reported

During the night and morning of October 22, Russian occupation forces attacked Kyiv using ballistic weapons and strike drones. There are reports of dead and injured in the capital.

This was reported by Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko.

As of 06:40, damage has been confirmed in several districts of Kyiv.

Dnipro District:

  • Drone debris hit the 6th floor of a 16-story residential building, causing a fire. One person was killed, and 10 people were rescued.

  • At another address, debris fell in the courtyard of a residential building without subsequent fire. The blast wave damaged window glazing in the residential building.

Pechersk District:

  • A missile fragment fell, causing a fire. The fire has already been extinguished.

Darnytskyi District:

  • Drone debris hit the territory of an enterprise, igniting a two-story building and a hangar.

  • Another strike hit a 17-story residential building, causing a fire on the 14th–15th floors.

Solomianskyi District:

  • Debris fell on the territory of a garage cooperative.

All emergency services are working at the scenes.
