President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy heard reports from the military and representatives of special services.
He announced this on Sunday, October 19, in his video address.
According to the Head of State, the main topic was the situation at the front.
“Pokrovsk direction, neighboring areas, also Kupiansk, the border regions of Kharkiv and Sumy oblasts, Zaporizhzhia region. We are holding the situation, and I am grateful to each of our units for their resilience. We are preparing certain steps at the front and responding to the Russians for every one of their strikes”, — the statement reads.
In particular, Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, long-range strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation.
“There is an increase both in the range and in the accuracy of our long-range sanctions against Russia. Practically every one or two days, Russia’s oil refining facilities are being hit. And this brings Russia back to reality”, — the Ukrainian leader said.
In addition, he noted the successes of the fighters of the 13th Operational Brigade of the National Guard and the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade in the Kupiansk direction.
“Also, there are results there from the 127th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade, units of the Special Operations Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Military Law Enforcement Service. Thank you all, warriors”, — the President added.
