Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal held a meeting in Kyiv with Vice President of the European Commission Henna Virkkunen, during which he presented the digital solutions developed by the Ukrainian defense ministry and proposed the implementation of large-scale joint projects, including the “Drone Wall”.
The Minister of Defense reported this on his official page.
“Together with my team, we informed our European colleagues about the Ministry of Defense’s digital solutions in the areas of communications, battlefield innovation, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. We presented digital products that help our military defend themselves and strike enemy targets”, — the statement reads.
The delegation was also introduced to the advantages of the ‘Army+’ and ‘Reserve+’ applications.
The Minister emphasized Ukraine’s readiness to implement joint projects that would strengthen the security of the entire European community.
“One such project is the ‘Drone Wall.’ Ukraine is already ready to share its experience in countering Russian terror to enhance Europe’s defense capabilities”, — he noted.
The Ukrainian side also expressed hope for the role of the European SAFE mechanism, which will make it possible to channel significant financial resources into strengthening the production capacity of defense enterprises.
“We are grateful to the European Union countries for their significant contribution to the development of Ukraine’s digital capabilities. We agreed to deepen our cooperation”, — Denys Shmyhal summarized.
