On Tuesday, October 7, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy heard a report from the Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service (FIS) Oleg Ivashchenko.
The President shared the main points of the discussion on his social media accounts.
According to the Head of State, one of the key topics was the so-called Russian shadow fleet, which the Kremlin regime uses to circumvent international sanctions.
“We are providing all necessary information to our partners and expect that the response to Russian interference will become much stronger. Currently, the Russians are using tankers not only to make money for the war but also for intelligence and even sabotage activities. This can absolutely be stopped”, – the President assured.
In addition, the head of the FIS presented details of the schemes used by Russia to evade sanctions, identifying which of them should be blocked first.
“Oleg Ivashchenko also reported on upcoming changes in Russia’s disinformation tactics”, – added Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
