At the border of Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions, the 141st Separate Mechanized Brigade liberated the village of Sichneve. The “Shkval” assault unit eliminated 50 Russian occupiers and captured eight more.
Details of the operation were shared on Army TV by the deputy commander of the 141st Separate Mechanized Brigade, callsign “Almaz.”
According to him, the “Shkval” assault unit was formed recently. However, during their training, the assault troopers thoroughly practiced different variations of assault tactics — one of which came in handy this time.
“We knew in advance that there would be approximately three or four enemy positions there. A small group was sent in — there were twelve of us working. The enemy had a very significant numerical advantage”, — said the deputy commander of the 141st Separate Mechanized Brigade.
The “Shkval” assault troopers destroyed fifty Russians and captured another eight. To drive the occupiers out, they used gases, explosives, and various types of smoke.
“We cleared the area in several stages. Within a single day, we liberated about 60% of the settlement. During the clearing, around thirty enemy servicemen fled. The toughest location was the community center, where we captured the largest number of prisoners — seven soldiers. In their radio intercepts, there was nothing but panic and chaos”, — Almaz noted.
