President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed several new sanctions decisions aimed against the Kremlin regime.
He announced this on October 4 during his evening video address.
“The first [decision] concerns the extension of sanctions whose term was expiring. This applies to Russian entrepreneurs and their connections with Putin’s system. The second decree targets the Russian military industry — specifically, drone manufacturers and component producers. The third decree introduces our sanctions against individuals and companies connected to Russia’s oil sector”, — said the Head of State.
According to him, Ukraine continues its “comprehensive policy of pressure on Russia” and will further coordinate these steps with its partners, since the Russian Federation “rejects literally every opportunity that could bring this war to an end,” while Putin wants to continue fighting “using terrorist methods, vile methods”.
“Already now, many of Ukraine’s initiatives are forming the basis for our partners’ sanctions. We count on synchronization of our sanctions with our partners. We also expect new sanctions from the European Union — the 19th package — and corresponding steps from the United States… Europe, America, the G7, and the G20 have the power to deal with any terrorist. And they will”, — emphasized Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
