During August 2025, the air defense of the Defence Forces destroyed 10,215 enemy aerial targets, including an air-launched ballistic missile “Kinzhal,” over 120 cruise missiles, and more than 2,700 “Shahed”-type attack UAVs.
This was stated in the summary published on the page of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In total, during August, the following were destroyed:
Missiles:
- 1 Kh-47M2 “Kinzhal” air-launched ballistic missile;
- 79 Kh-101/Kh-55SM cruise missiles;
- 20 “Kalibr” cruise missiles;
- 15 “Iskander-K” cruise missiles;
- 2 “Iskander-M/KN-23” ballistic missiles;
- 9 Kh-59/69 guided air-to-surface missiles.
UAVs:
- 2,724 “Shahed”-type attack UAVs;
- 755 reconnaissance UAVs;
- 6,610 UAVs of other types.
In addition, the Air Force aviation carried out 327 sorties during August, including about 270 for fighter aviation cover and more than 50 for fire strikes.
In September 2025, the aviation of the Defence Forces destroyed another 516 aerial targets, as well as struck command posts and areas of concentration of enemy manpower and equipment.
