On the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, October 1, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree conferring the honorary title “Hero City of Ukraine” on 16 more settlements.
Volodymyr Zelensky announced this on his official page.
“It is right to honor today our cities that so often bear the greatest burden in defense and resilience. Cities thanks to which thousands of lives of our people have been saved”, — the President emphasized.
According to the decree, the title “Hero City of Ukraine” was awarded to:
“I am proud of you! It is an honor to represent such nation, such cities, communities, and such brave people”, — Volodymyr Zelensky concluded.
