Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal held two meetings dedicated to increasing the production of mines to meet the needs of the front, as well as to strengthening the air defense of enterprises of the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex.

The head of the defense ministry reported this on his page.

According to him, the first meeting with mine manufacturers took place as part of fulfilling President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky’s instruction to timely and fully supply combat brigades.

“From the fighters we have a request for a large number of mines to deter the enemy’s advance, and to destroy its armored vehicles and manpower. On its part, the Ministry is ready to do everything possible to assist manufacturers in scaling up and developing production”, — Denys Shmyhal said.

The Minister of Defense set the task of adapting production and codification processes to the conditions of modern warfare and to allied standards.

“In addition, I held a meeting devoted to the air defense of our defense-industry enterprises. During the meeting with the military and manufacturers we focused on new solutions to protect Ukraine’s industrial potential”, — the minister added.

According to Denys Shmyhal, the aim of these steps is to create the most favorable and secure conditions for the operation of Ukraine’s defense enterprises and those of partner countries.
