On the night of September 30, units of the Special Operations Forces struck the radar station of a Russian S-400 “Triumf” surface-to-air missile system in the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
This was reported by the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“It is symbolic that the enemy’s expensive air defense system, designed in particular to counter UAVs, was neutralized by SOF strike drones. The radar station is the ‘eyes’ of the S-400 ‘Triumf’ system. Without the surveillance and targeting element, the entire system loses its combat effectiveness”, – the statement reads.
It was noted that SOF units continue to inflict significant damage on the enemy, accelerating its inability to conduct further hostilities.
