Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, held a meeting with commanders of units and formations involved in the counteroffensive operation, and also stated that on the Dobropillia axis, part of the enemy units ended up encircled.

He wrote about this on his social media pages on September 29.

“I devoted another day to working in the units operating on the main sectors of the front, including the Dobropillia direction. Thanks to the well-planned and bold actions of our troops, part of the enemy units ended up encircled”, — he stated.

According to him, the total losses of the occupiers on the Dobropillia axis amount to 3,185 personnel, of which 1,769 are irrecoverable. The invaders also lost 969 pieces of weapons and military equipment.

“Since the beginning of the counteroffensive operation, the area of liberated territory as of today amounts to about 175 square kilometers. In addition, almost 195 square kilometers have been cleared of enemy sabotage groups”, — the statement reads.

Taking into account the reports of the commanders, Oleksandr Syrskyi determined tasks on the ground and gave the necessary instructions regarding increasing the effectiveness of fire strikes against the enemy, particularly at long ranges; neutralizing enemy sabotage groups in designated areas; and improving the quality of interaction between units.

“He also made the necessary decisions to ensure comprehensive support for the units and formations engaged in combat operations, taking into account the worsening weather conditions. Once again, I thank the personnel for their courage and professionalism”, —  the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine summarized.
