In Kupiansk, the enemy is blocked on the outskirts, but they do not stop trying to attack.
After the Defense Forces stopped the occupiers from infiltrating through a pipe, the Russians began moving their soldiers directly across the Oskil River.
This was stated on air of Suspilne News by Yurii Fedorenko, commander of the 429th Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment “Achilles.”
According to him, the enemy is currently blocked on the northwestern outskirts of the city. The Russians do not control a single block of Kupiansk. At the same time, the presence of sabotage and reconnaissance groups “remains high.”
“They disguise themselves as civilians, put on the uniform of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, take up observation positions, and try not to reveal themselves. At present, they have no possibility to move through the gas pipeline, since it was damaged by the Defense Forces. No movement is being recorded”, — said the commander of the 429th Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment “Achilles.”
At the same time, he noted, the intensity of the enemy’s river crossings of the Oskil from the left to the right bank has increased significantly after the pipeline was damaged. Because of this, the Russians are constantly moving reinforcements, and they are not short of manpower. The enemy moves only forward — not because of high motivation, but because that is the only way they have a chance to survive.
“If they turn back, or start complaining about their health — they’re simply ‘cut off.’ Shot. Into the pipe, you know how they were stuffed in? When they refused to carry out tasks, a special forces soldier would come, pull them straight out of the pipe, punch them in the face, and shove them back in. If they refused again, he would place them near the pipe and shoot them. And the rest — they crawled through the pipe”, — Yurii Fedorenko said.
