Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal met with European Commissioner for Defense and Space Andrius Kubilius in Kyiv.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine announced this on social media.
“We discussed the stages of implementation of the SAFE financial program. Nineteen countries have already joined the initiative. We are counting on effective cooperation, as this mechanism will contribute to the development of the Ukrainian defense industry,” said Denys Shmyhal.
The minister stressed that one of our priorities requiring additional funding is the production of drones: FPV drones, interceptor drones, and long-range UAVs. We are grateful to the European Commission for launching the Drone Alliance.
