“The distance drones can reach has increased severalfold”: Enemy drones are flying farther on the Kramatorsk Axis

Over the past year, the operational range of enemy drones has increased significantly, unlike their numbers.

This was stated during an ArmyTV stream by Junior Lieutenant Oleh Petrasiuk, press officer of the 24th King Danylo Mechanized Brigade.

“Not long ago, Kostiantynivka was the rear. And despite the fact that the frontline on our side has not shifted much, today it is very difficult to get into the city, and the enemy is trying to exploit this by attempting to cut off our routes — not only because they advanced somewhere, but also because of the increased drone range.

And I believe that in the near future this distance will only continue to grow”, — said Oleh Petrasiuk.

According to him, bad weather is currently hindering the use of drones, including fiber-optic ones.

“In a snowstorm, fiber-optic drones are difficult to use. Wind gusts cause line breaks, and one way or another, weather makes its adjustments — drone operations are still complicated”, — he explained.
