Fighters of the “Spartan” Brigade captured a Russian officer in the Pokrovsk sector.
A video of the conversation with him was published on January 7 on the channel of the 3rd Separate Operational Brigade “Spartan” of the National Guard of Ukraine.
“A political officer in Spartan captivity. 21-year-old Alyosha from Siberia was a conscript and agreed to sign a contract because he really wanted to obtain an officer’s rank (so his ‘Afghan war veteran’ father would be proud) and to earn money. Among his duties as a political officer was motivating Russian ‘cannon fodder’ before combat missions”, — the statement said.
He himself was captured when, while at a position, he went to look for water and decided to “check” a neighboring dugout.
“Given Alyosha’s level of intellectual ability, he does not even try to hide it: he does not so much regret invading Ukraine as part of the occupying army — rather, he regrets that he failed to sit it out in the rear”, — the Spartan Brigade said.
