On the night of December 22 (from 7:00 p.m. on December 21), the enemy attacked with 86 strike UAVs of the Shahed type, Gerbera drones, and other types of unmanned aerial vehicles.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy launched attacks from the directions of Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russian Federation), temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk region, and Chauda — temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea. More than 50 of them were Shahed drones.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 a.m., air defense shot down or suppressed 58 enemy UAVs of the Shahed type, Gerbera, and other drones in the north, south, and east of the country.
Hits by 26 strike UAVs were recorded at 12 locations, as well as the fall of downed drones (debris) at one location.
