The crew of the RAVEN surface-to-air missile system of the Air Command “West” continues to increase its effectiveness in countering enemy unmanned aerial vehicles.
This was reported in a publication on the command’s page.
The system operator, Oleksandr from Halychyna, says that although the unit has been working in a new operational area for a relatively short time, the crew quickly adapted to the local specifics of the air environment.
Over 50 targets downed
“We have already destroyed more than half a hundred drones, and this number grows every day. The work is exhausting, but every downed drone means a saved house, car, or even a human life. This gives us strength and a sense of responsibility”, — the operator says.
Anti-drone defence of critical infrastructure
The main task of the crew is to protect important infrastructure facilities from UAV attacks. The air defense operators work day and night, in any conditions, constantly improving their coordination and reaction speed.
The published video shows the combat work of the RAVEN SAM crew as it detects and destroys enemy targets, preventing the adversary from achieving its objectives.
