Volodymyr Zelensky heard a report from the Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Oleh Ivashchenko.
The President reported this on December 10.
“Many details concern the foreign policy situation around Ukraine and the economic situation in Russia — namely, the dependence of its companies and state system on Chinese investments, technologies, and political priorities.
We are recording an actual increase in the de-sovereignization of part of Russian territory in favor of China. This primarily concerns the use of resource-rich lands and the sale of scarce resources to China. We are also recording that China is taking steps to intensify cooperation with Russia, particularly in the field of the defense industry. Intelligence services of our partners have similar information.
I instructed the Foreign Intelligence Service to more specifically monitor cooperation between Moscow and Beijing — both in all aspects related to Ukraine’s national interests and in all aspects concerning the interests of our partners in Europe and America.
Global security must not suffer because Russia’s appetite for aggression does not diminish”, — Zelensky noted.
According to him, Oleh Ivashchenko also reported on political campaigns that Russia is launching, in particular aimed at destabilizing Ukraine.
“We will counteract and block the activities of all actors who help the enemy. We separately discussed the activity of Ukraine’s foreign intelligence in efforts to return Ukrainian children and conduct prisoner exchanges. I thank everyone who is helping!” — the President wrote.
