The Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense has added a critically important element to the DOT-Chain Defence weapons marketplace — interceptor drones.
This was announced by Ukraine’s Minister of Defense, Denys Shmyhal.
These are specialized unmanned aerial vehicles designed for effective counteraction against enemy reconnaissance and strike drones. They will strengthen Ukraine’s air defense at the tactical level.
“From now on, units can independently select and order the equipment they need directly through the IT system, using state funds and without additional approvals. This is a principle of autonomy and trust. We continue to simplify and accelerate the process of equipping our Defense Forces with the most modern means”, — said Denys Shmyhal.
According to him, drones from three Ukrainian manufacturers are already available in the marketplace, and three more will be contracted shortly.
“We are investing in the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex. Technologies work for the frontline. Every unit must have the ability to respond quickly to challenges and receive the best equipment”, — the statement reads.
