President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that after the negotiations in Geneva between Ukraine and the United States, the peace plan now contains fewer points.
He said this in his evening address on November 24.
“Today our delegation returned from Geneva after negotiations with the American side and European partners, and now the list of necessary steps to end the war can become workable. As of now, after Geneva, there are fewer points — no longer 28 points — and much of what is right has been taken into account in this framework”, — the President said.
According to him, there is still work to be done, and drafting the final document is very difficult. Ukraine values the fact that most of the world is ready to help.
“Today our team already reported on the new draft of steps, and this is indeed the right approach — sensitive things, sensitive issues I will discuss with President Trump. Ukraine will never be an obstacle to peace — this is our principle, our shared principle, and millions of Ukrainians count on and deserve a dignified peace”, — the Head of State emphasized.
He added that constructive cooperation with partners is important for Ukraine.
“We take care of Ukraine’s interests and protect Ukrainians — these are our key negotiation guidelines. I thank everyone who stands with Ukraine and does everything to help Ukraine succeed”, — the President concluded.
