The Defense Forces struck one of the key enemy aircraft repair plants in the city of Staraya Russa (Novgorod region, Russia).
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on March 18.
Facilities of the 123rd Aircraft Repair Plant were hit. The plant specializes in a full cycle of repair and modernization of military transport aircraft and their components.
The plant has its own runway, allowing it to receive heavy aircraft directly on its territory.
According to available information, a hangar for servicing Il-76 and L-410 aircraft was hit.
As noted by the Unmanned Systems Forces, operators of the 1st Separate Center of the USF AFU took part in the operation.
This enterprise fulfills state defense orders for Russian security forces and is also involved in export contracts and import substitution programs.
