In the Pokrovsk area, the Russian UAV unit Rubikon is operating, improving drones, strike means, and the tactics of their use.

Recently, the enemy has begun using new fragmentation munitions in the Pokrovsk direction.

This was reported during an Army TV stream on March 12 by the chief of staff of a battalion of the 25th Separate Sicheslav Airborne Brigade of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces, callsign “Oper”.

“The situation in the brigade’s sector is currently difficult, tense, but under control. The enemy is constantly trying to advance in small groups, actively using a large number of FPV drones and controlling our movement routes.

At present, weather conditions affect both our actions and those of the enemy. On our side, they help detect the enemy and destroy manpower and equipment.

At the same time, the enemy also observes our units, our movements, detects our UAV posts, and carries out fire strikes. The situation is very difficult”, — he said.

The occupiers are working to improve unmanned aerial vehicles and the munitions used with them.

“The enemy is constantly improving its FPV drones and munitions. We are observing new fragmentation munitions used by the enemy.

The most powerful enemy UAV unit in the brigade’s area of responsibility is Rubikon, which is constantly developing in this direction.

Their staffing is being expanded, and they have several times more equipment than others. Therefore, it is currently very difficult for us to fight this, but we are holding on”, — the serviceman said.

At the same time, the use of ground equipment by the enemy in the Pokrovsk direction is practically not observed.

“Very little equipment is being observed; it is accumulating on the outskirts of Pokrovsk. Our units destroy the equipment they detect.

Apparently, the enemy is waiting for improved conditions in order to advance further both with equipment and to resume infantry assault actions”, — Oper suggested.
