Fighters of the 23rd Mechanized Brigade, with call signs “Hertz” and “Kortyk,” were on rotation at an observation post from October 2025 to February 2026.

Their rotation took place under the buzzing of attack drones and the sounds of mortar fire.
They described fear and uncertainty in the first days, later replaced by focused work: rotations, reports, firefights.
