Russians launched 420 drones, most of them “Shaheds,” and 39 missiles of various types, including 11 ballistic missiles, at Ukrainian civilians.
This was reported on February 26 by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
He wrote:
“Tonight Russia again targeted critical infrastructure and ordinary residential buildings. There is destruction in eight regions: many private and multi-story buildings were damaged. As of now, dozens of injured are known, including children”ю
Strikes also targeted gas infrastructure in Poltava region and electrical substations in Kyiv and Dnipro regions.
Rescuers worked in Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Kirovohrad, Vinnytsia, Kyiv regions, and in the capital.
“Most of the missiles fired today were shot down thanks to partners who promptly sent part of the air defense missiles agreed upon during the latest ‘Ramstein’”, — the President wrote.
However, unfortunately, there were also impacts. This means that work must continue even more actively.
The President stressed that the cold has not fully receded and that air defense missiles are needed daily as long as Russia attempts to destroy Ukraine’s energy system.
He thanked everyone who understands this and helps.
