Miguel Ángel, call sign “Lobo” (“Wolf”), is a Colombian citizen and former soldier who served seven years in his country’s army.
His story was published by the Territorial Defense Forces of Ukraine.
He is characterized by patriotic passion and dedication to defending truth and justice in all aspects of life.
“I was raised in Christian faith in the United Pentecostal Church of Colombia; this shaped my worldview”, — Miguel says.
He came to Ukraine for two reasons: to support the Ukrainian people in their just struggle against Russian occupiers, and to earn money to pay off his university debt and finally obtain his advertising-management degree.
“Lobo” joined the 108th Separate Kodatska Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces thanks to information from a friend who had already returned to Colombia after serving in Ukraine.
“I arrived, completed training, and already took part in two frontline combat missions. In the second one, I fought the enemy several times and, thanks to God, achieved operational results, including capturing two Russian soldiers.
Someone asked why I didn’t kill them. I said: what honor is there in killing someone who has already surrendered?”
His Christian faith remains steadfast: everything he does must be done with honor and justice. Recently, Miguel has been helping recruit new Latin American volunteers for the 108th Brigade.
“My compatriots deserve to fulfill their dreams of serving a great nation — the unbreakable Ukraine. Nearly 50 men are ready to give their all for Ukraine and support its brave warriors standing against global evil”.
Miguel is convinced: Ukraine deserves to be free, sovereign, and independent. No one can take that right away — only God. And His will is holy and just. Everyone who understands honor must support Ukraine.
