During today’s massive combined air attack, the Defense Forces destroyed all cruise missiles. They also shot down 367 out of roughly 400 drones.
This was reported by Air Force spokesperson Yurii Ihnat on the “United News” telethon.
According to him, this time the geography of strikes was wide, with air raid alerts across the country. Various systems were used to repel the attack, with aviation performing especially effectively.
“Our pilots worked superbly, especially on foreign aircraft — F-16s and Mirages. A significant number of missiles were destroyed by aviation, intercepted by fighter jets. Air defense missile units also performed well. In numbers — all cruise missiles were destroyed, shot down. These were Kh-101 missiles and ground-launched Iskander-K missiles plus one air-launched missile”, — Ihnat said.
There was no interception of ballistic missiles this time. Four ballistic missiles hit eastern regions; according to Ihnat, they were not intercepted for objective reasons. But there were excellent results in destroying Shaheds.
“About 400 drones were launched by the enemy. And a large number were intercepted — 367, if I am not mistaken. Where the enemy aimed — of course, critical infrastructure: logistics, including railways, and energy facilities”, — Ihnat noted.
