The corresponding information was posted in the “Stolen Heritage” section of the War&Sanctions portal.

Among the individuals listed is collaborator Artem Lahoyskyi, the so-called “Minister of Culture of Kherson Region”, who was one of the organizers and direct participants in the looting of Kherson museums during the temporary occupation of the city.

“In 2022, Lahoyskyi, together with Russian Black Sea Fleet officer Dmytrii Lipovyi, who at that time served as the so-called ‘commandant’ of Kherson, organized the theft of the remains of Hryhorii Potemkin from St. Catherine’s Cathedral”, — the statement reads.

Lahoyskyi also co-organized the propaganda exhibition “Always New Kakhovka” at the central office of the company “Transneft” in Moscow, where paintings by Ukrainian artist A. S. Havzdynskyi, illegally taken from the Nova Kakhovka city gallery, were displayed.

Separately, DIU published information about individuals involved in the seizure of the National Historical and Archaeological Reserve “Kamiana Mohyla,” its illegal incorporation into the so-called “Chersonesus Taurica” museum-reserve in temporarily occupied Crimea, and the theft of museum exhibits under the guise of “temporary exhibitions”.
