Deputy Head of the Office of the President Pavlo Palisa has returned from a working trip to the frontline, where he personally met representatives of brigades and corps.
This was reported by Colonel Pavlo Palisa.
On the positive side, he noted that morale is combative. It is difficult, of course, but the soldiers are holding on. The brigades have received direct reinforcements in accordance with the Staff’s decision and have begun training.
“Overall, the feedback is positive and inspires cautious optimism. We will continue to monitor implementation”, — he wrote.
Some recently created units are showing good results. They have strengthened, become more confident in their actions, and more aggressive in their planning.
Palisa emphasized that this is undoubtedly the merit of all the units and wished them success.
Infantry brigades have significantly increased their quantitative and qualitative capabilities in the use of UAVs and UGS. This is encouraging. Work continues.
Palisa also highlighted problem areas: corps remain fragmented, and force grouping is still ongoing.
“We would like it to be faster. A corps commander must have real levers influencing the course of combat operations within his corps’ sector. We will discuss this soon with the Minister of Defense Mykhailo Fedorov”, — he noted.
The enemy is increasing its unmanned component, and heavy bombers are being recorded more frequently in some frontline areas. Over time, this may create additional challenges, so countermeasures are being developed.
Palisa also addressed the issue of supplying necessary UAV munitions.
“Decentralized brigade funding works and gives commanders flexibility, but it cannot and should not replace centralized supply. Fire coordination requires changes dictated by the battlefield”, — he wrote.
According to him, commanders proposed several good ideas that will be tested.
“In general, I was very glad to see you, my brothers. Such a familiar and dear atmosphere around. Strength and endurance to you and your units”, — Palisa concluded.
