January 2026 saw intensified activity of enemy tactical aviation in the Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad directions. During this period, the enemy dropped 1,340 aerial bombs on the agglomeration — 65% more than in December. The enemy is literally wiping our towns and villages off the face of the earth.
This was reported by the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Air Assault Forces.
The enemy uses airstrikes from 5 times per day up to more than 20 in some cases. Often this depends on weather: when visibility worsens, Russians cannot use drones en masse and replace them with airstrikes.
According to the paratroopers, the occupiers have no issue expending a “full package” of aerial bombs on a single target. Recently, the enemy attempted to destroy a single mortar of the Defense Forces that hindered the advance of enemy infantry by dropping six aerial bombs on one position.
Regarding the possibility of shooting down enemy aircraft, the paratroopers note that this is an extremely difficult task.
“This is the objective reality. Enemy aircraft drop glide bombs from tens of kilometers away. Even if tactical or operational air defense is brought right up to the zero line, aircraft often remain out of range”, — the report states.
For units in the defensive zone of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps, this means that the endurance of units today is measured by their ability to operate under constant aviation pressure.
