This was reported on the telethon by the chief of staff of the unmanned systems battalion of the 58th Motorized Infantry Brigade, Hryhorii Khvistani.
“With confidence, based on the experience of our pilots, I can say that a machine-guidance system increases the effectiveness of UAVs by 40%, sometimes 50%. Because this system works specifically under intense enemy electronic warfare”, — Khvistani said.
According to him, the enemy in the Vovchansk area and other difficult sectors of the Kharkiv region is trying to exhaust Ukrainian defences, identify weak points, conducts round-the-clock aerial reconnaissance with its UAVs, and attempts to inflict fire damage on Ukrainian positions.
