On the Oleksandrivka axis, Russians surrender to Ukrainian marines out of desperation. The scenarios vary widely.
Denys Bobkov, head of communications of the 37th Marine Brigade, told this on Army TV.
According to him, the latest incident happened recently: the brigade’s drone operators captured a Russian soldier using an FPV drone. The UAV guided the infantryman directly to the marines. It was the first such case for the 37th Brigade, although Russians, Bobkov noted, surrender quite often, each time with a different story.
“It happens that they run in on their own or, as they say, ‘by accident’, unknowingly. We had a case where they deliberately ran toward our position — they knew our guys were there and ran in because they had no water. They were literally dying of thirst and decided to get water in such a radical way”, — he said.
