President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed decrees implementing the decisions of the National Security and Defense Council on synchronizing sanctions with the United Kingdom and extending sanctions that were expiring.
This was reported on the official website of the Head of State.
The first decree concerns extending sanctions against former oligarch Dmytro Firtash and applying sanctions to individuals in his close circle and companies under his control.
The second decree extends sanctions against one of the closest associates of former oligarch Viktor Medvedchuk — Taras Kozak — and eight companies associated with him engaged in pro-Russian propaganda.
As early as January 2023, the Head of State deprived Taras Kozak of Ukrainian citizenship based on materials prepared by the Security Service of Ukraine and the State Migration Service.
