The intensity of unmanned aerial vehicle use in modern warfare continues to grow. The ability to detect, classify, and neutralize them is currently critically important during combat operations and will remain decisive in the future.
This is stated in a message published on the website of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Higher military educational institutions of Ukraine are focusing on countering UAVs during cadet training. In particular, at the National Army Academy named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi, future officers are taught to effectively counter drones using anti-drone rifles. Such experience with anti-drone technologies enables cadets to perform assigned tasks far more effectively.
During training, cadets learn to:
Thanks to the acquired knowledge, practical skills are formed, which in turn increases the safety level of units that will participate in combat operations in the future.
Over the past day, units of the Unmanned Systems Forces grouping struck or destroyed 1,209 enemy targets.
Drone units of the Joint Forces’ Iron Brigade are continuously destroying enemy UAVs (“chortolyoty”) and personnel.
On the night of March 20, the enemy attacked with 156 strike UAVs, including Shahed-type drones, “Gerbera”, “Italmas”, and other types.
