Within the framework of the One Hundred Year Partnership, Ukraine and the United Kingdom have already achieved practical results in the field of defense innovation and industrial cooperation.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

In particular, one Ukrainian defense company localized its operations in the United Kingdom within a year, integrating into the British industrial ecosystem.

Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Hvozdiar stated that at the same time, British technology partners are deploying production and engineering projects in Ukraine, particularly in the field of unmanned systems. She spoke about this during the UK–Ukraine One Hundred Year Partnership event, where she moderated the panel discussion “A Century of Defense Innovation and Industrial Cooperation”.

The discussion was attended by representatives of government procurement agencies and defense innovation companies from both countries.

“We are no longer talking about intentions, but about joint projects, production, and mutual strengthening of industrial capabilities. We are grateful to the British side for cooperation and support, as well as for readiness to work together on practical solutions.

Ahead lies the scaling up of joint projects, development of engineering and R&D cooperation, and new formats of practical interaction, including joint technical hackathons and exchange of expertise”, — Hanna Hvozdiar emphasized.

During the event, she also thanked the UK government for the systematic training of Ukrainian servicemen — from basic training for recruits to specialized courses for combat-experienced personnel.

According to her, the professionalism of British instructors and a consistent approach to training have significantly increased the capabilities of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

The Deputy Minister of Defense stressed that the combination of personnel training, joint innovation, and industrial cooperation is a key factor in strengthening Ukraine’s defense capability and developing a long-term strategic partnership with the United Kingdom.
