On the night of January 21 (from 18:00 on January 20), the enemy attacked with one Iskander-M ballistic missile from the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea and 97 strike UAVs of the Shahed type, “Gerbera”, and other types, launched from the directions of Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russian Federation), Chauda (Crimea), and Donetsk (temporarily occupied territory). About 70 of them were Shaheds.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on the morning of January 21.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:30, air defense shot down or suppressed 84 enemy UAVs of the Shahed type, “Gerbera”, and other drones in the north, south, and east of the country.
Hits by a ballistic missile and 13 strike UAVs were recorded at 11 locations, as well as the fall of debris from downed UAVs at one location.
