Deep in enemy territory, the “Scythian Griffins” unit successfully struck an Osa surface-to-air missile system. The high-value target, designed to protect troops and facilities from aerial attacks, was destroyed by a strike drone.
The successful operation was reported on the unit’s official page.
According to available information, the destroyed SAM system was worth more than $10 million, while the drone used for the strike cost hundreds of times less. Thus, a single precise sortie not only eliminated an element of the enemy’s air defense but also inflicted significant economic losses.
The unit emphasizes that modern warfare is increasingly shifting toward technology, intelligence, and precision decisions. These make it possible to destroy expensive and critically important enemy systems without deploying large forces or risking personnel.
