Fighters of the 93rd Mechanized Brigade “Kholodnyi Yar”, Irina (“Joker”) and Vitaliy (“Kalyna”), operate interceptor drones together.
The story was published on January 9 on the brigade channel.
Irina is the second-in-command for drone interceptors. Her callsign: “Joker”. She prepares drones, mounts the warhead, brings them to the launch point, navigates using radar and landmarks, and controls the antenna. If the drone fails to reach the target, she retrieves and disarms it. She joined the army at 23, four years ago.
Her comrade Vitaliy (“Kalyna”) pilots the drones, chasing Russian “wings” and destroying them in the air via FPV. He previously made equipment for mining operations and played in several bands. Now he hones his drone piloting and aerial hunting skills.
