Over the year, the authorized number of instructors in military training centers increased by 13%.
This was written by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine General Oleksandr Syrskyi on social media on January 5.
According to him, the two main components of the Ukrainian military’s activities today are conducting combat operations and high-quality training of personnel for participation in them. Proper training directly affects the preservation of the lives and health of soldiers.
The Commander-in-Chief noted that a significant step forward has been made in this direction.
“The authorized number of instructors in training centers has been increased by 13%. Basic combined arms training has also been deployed on the bases of combat brigades, and its duration and program have been aligned with the requirements of modern warfare”, — the statement said.
Oleksandr Syrskyi noted that at the same time, the training potential in training centers is not being fully utilized, and the quality of basic training in many brigades needs improvement.
“We must train and involve more competent, truly professional instructors with practical combat experience. Our principled position is to focus not only on quantitative but primarily on qualitative training indicators”, — the Commander-in-Chief stated.
In this regard, following the results of a monthly working meeting on training issues, a task was set: to conduct basic combined arms training in the rear zones of brigades exclusively in volumes necessary for quality training and with mandatory adherence to appropriate safety levels.
On this issue, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will conduct an additional inspection. During the meeting, exemplary models of organizing basic training were also demonstrated, which other military units should follow.
“Thanks to the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade for high standards, a multifunctional training ground, modern training methods, and a well-developed training and material base”, — Oleksandr Syrskyi wrote.
In addition, during the meeting, issues regarding the Instructor School in the Ground Forces were discussed. With the support of the Come Back Alive charitable foundation, it has been established and is gaining capabilities.
“The problem of transferring experienced specialists to instructor positions remains relevant both for the new School and for existing training centers. Appropriate solutions will be found. We are also working on the issue of additional financial incentives for instructors in combat brigades”, — the Commander-in-Chief added.
