Decisions of Military Medical Commissions are automatically transferred to the “Oberih” military register, and information on fitness or unfitness for service and the date of the commission is displayed in the Reserve+ application.

The head of the Central Military Medical Commission of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel of the Medical Service Dmytro Miroshnychenko, spoke about digitalization developments in the field of military medical examinations on December 31 during a broadcast on Pershyi TV channel.

“Nothing can stop a reform or an event whose time has come. Considering our nationwide trends toward developing digital tools and digitizing all aspects of life, this area could not bypass military medical expertise, which is currently quite important”, — Dmytro Miroshnychenko said.

In order to make a decision and enter it into the system, participants in this process — doctors, secretaries, and heads of MMCs — must sign it appropriately using electronic services and digital signatures, which leaves a specific timestamp in the system and makes it possible to fully trace who did what, who made changes to documents, who deleted or did not delete them, and so on.

“This truly brings to the surface the entire procedural complex taking place within military medical expertise. At the same time, there remains a large number of paper records that cannot yet be fully eliminated, as these are mainly historical data and are linked to the fact that digitalization has not yet fully covered the domestic medical sector, but this process continues”, — Dmytro Miroshnychenko assured.
